Export from India to USA — Tiles, Agro Commodities & Stainless Steel
FDA and USDA compliant Indian commodity exports to Los Angeles, New York, Savannah and beyond
USA — A Key Market for Indian Exports
The United States is India's single largest export destination, with bilateral merchandise trade surpassing USD 130 billion in FY2023–24. The US market absorbs a wide range of Indian goods, from pharmaceutical products and IT services to textiles, engineering goods, and agricultural commodities. For TRION EXIM LLP's product portfolio, the USA presents compelling opportunities across multiple categories — driven by a combination of a large and growing Indian-American diaspora, strong residential construction activity, and demand for cost-competitive industrial inputs.
The Indian-American community, numbering over 4.4 million, is the largest source of demand for Indian specialty agro products including basmati rice, aromatic spices, lentils, and ready-to-cook food preparations. Indian grocery chains, wholesale distributors, and ethnic food importers in cities such as New York, New Jersey, Houston, Chicago, and the San Francisco Bay Area represent the core buyer network. All food exports to the USA must comply with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Prior Notice requirements and FSVP (Foreign Supplier Verification Program) obligations of the US importer, and TRION EXIM works with FDA-registered processing facilities to ensure full documentation is in place before shipment.
On the construction side, the US tile import market has grown steadily as American homebuilders and commercial developers seek design-forward, large-format tiles at competitive price points that domestic producers cannot always match. Indian GVT tiles face reasonable import duties under the current Harmonised Tariff Schedule, and TRION EXIM monitors anti-dumping duty registers to ensure our products ship under the correct HS codes, avoiding tariff surprises for US buyers. Stainless steel coils, sheets, and fabricated products are also in demand from US industrial manufacturers and food-grade equipment fabricators.
What We Export to USA
Shipping from India to USA
The India-USA trade lane is served by frequent container services departing from India's west coast ports — primarily JNPT (Nhava Sheva) and Mundra — calling at US East Coast and West Coast gateways. West Coast US ports including Los Angeles / Long Beach (San Pedro Bay complex) are the primary entry points for cargo from India destined for the Western US and through-rail distribution to the Midwest. East Coast ports including New York / Newark, Savannah (Georgia), and Baltimore serve the populous US Eastern Seaboard markets. The Port of Savannah has become a critical entry point for tile importers distributing to the South-Eastern US homebuilding market.
Transit times on direct or single-transshipment services typically run 22 to 35 days depending on port pair and carrier rotation. All cargo entering the USA must be filed under ISF (Importer Security Filing / "10+2") at least 24 hours before loading at the origin port, and US Customs entry must be filed before arrival. TRION EXIM can provide an ISF data set to US customs brokers and will supply all required documents — commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and product-specific compliance certificates — well in advance of vessel departure.
