Export from India to UAE — Tiles, Steel & Agro Commodities
Reliable B2B supply from Hyderabad & Morbi to Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and beyond
UAE — A Key Market for Indian Exports
The United Arab Emirates is India's second-largest export destination and the gateway to the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market. Bilateral trade between India and the UAE exceeded USD 85 billion in FY2023–24, underscoring the depth and resilience of this trade corridor. India exports a diverse basket of goods to the UAE, ranging from petroleum products and gems to construction materials, engineering goods, and food commodities.
The UAE's infrastructure landscape has been transformed by a decade of sustained development — from the Expo 2020 legacy projects in Dubai to mega-residential developments in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. This construction boom drives sustained demand for premium ceramic and GVT tiles, stainless steel fixtures, polycarbonate roofing, and sanitary ware. Indian manufacturers, particularly from the Morbi cluster in Gujarat, have established the UAE as one of their top tile export destinations due to competitive pricing, fast sea freight, and product alignment with GCC building codes.
Beyond construction commodities, the UAE's large Indian expatriate community — numbering over 3.5 million — creates strong and consistent demand for Indian agro products including basmati rice, non-basmati rice, spices, pulses, and processed foods. The UAE also functions as a re-export hub: goods imported at Jebel Ali Port are regularly distributed onward to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, and East Africa, making a UAE partnership strategically valuable for pan-GCC market access.
What We Export to UAE
Shipping from India to UAE
India-UAE is one of the most active and well-serviced trade lanes in Asia. The primary export ports on the Indian side are Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) in Navi Mumbai and Mundra Port in Gujarat — both offering multiple weekly sailings to Jebel Ali Port (JEBEL ALI, Dubai), the UAE's principal deep-water container terminal and one of the busiest ports in the world. Secondary UAE ports include Abu Dhabi (Khalifa Port) and Sharjah (Port Khor Fakkan), which handle overflow and specialised cargo.
Transit time for full container loads (FCL) is typically 10 to 18 days depending on carrier and port of loading. Less-than-container load (LCL) consolidation services are available out of JNPT and Mundra, making smaller orders economical. Major carriers operating this route include MSC, Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, CMA CGM, and COSCO. We coordinate with licensed customs house agents at both ends and can offer shipments under FOB (Mundra / JNPT), CIF (Jebel Ali), CFR, or EXW terms depending on buyer preference.
Lead Time
10–18 days sea freight (FCL). JNPT and Mundra to Jebel Ali. LCL consolidation also available for smaller orders.
Incoterms
FOB, CIF, CFR, EXW available. We recommend CIF Jebel Ali for first-time UAE buyers for simplicity and cost certainty.
Documentation
Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin (CoO), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Phytosanitary Certificate (agro), Mill Test Certificate (steel), ESMA compliance docs where applicable.
